AIR POLLUTION IS LINKED TO HEART DISEASE. HERE’S HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF

Sedentary lifestyle and smoking contribute to heart disease. Nevertheless, air pollution in an urban city can also contribute to this issue. A study from 2016 showed that air pollution from factories and cars, fire, and cigarette smoke, cause damages to the blood vessels and inflammation in healthy people.
It would be much better for you to try these tips in order to reduce the pollution exposure and detox your body of harmful pollutants.
Here is what you can do:

Turmeric
Just add turmeric to your daily diet. This is an anti-inflammatory, blood-purifying, and detoxifying root that can purify the blood from polluted air.
Ginger
Drink a cup of warm ginger tea when you come home from outdoors to purify your blood. This root contains gingerols that act like detoxifying, blood-purifying, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory agent.
Avoid citrus and pine scents
Cleaning products and air fresheners with pine and citrus scents can react with the ozone in the air, forming polluting particles in the home.

Garlic
It contains sulfur which stimulates the liver and helps in the process of elimination of the toxic substances such as air pollutants. It contains detoxifying enzymes which filter waste materials from the bloodstream
Oxygen exercise
Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds and hold your breath for 7 seconds. Purse the lips and exhale slowly until you count to 8. Repeat this exercise for 8 times 2 twice a day. In 2 weeks your body will be able to produce more 2,3 DPG, a substance which allows the body to accumulate in high altitude through releasing more oxygen from the hemoglobin.
Act smart about the outdoor activities
Jog in places which are not near high-traffic areas. You should better exercise indoors in days when pollution levels are dangerously high. You can use apps to check pollution online.
Leave your shoes at the door
This will reduce the amount of pollutants that you bring into your home. Keep some cozy slippers at the door to replace your shoes indoors.
Plants that purify the air
This indoor plant purifies the air at home, working like air filters. Other plants which have the same properties are: bamboo palm, Gerber daisies, peace lilies, chrysanthemum, and English ivy.
