New Spider-Man: Brand New Day featurette gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the Marvel movie's explosive opening sequence

Marvel has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and we'd be lying if we said it didn't make us even more excited for Peter Parker's return.

In the brief clip, which can be viewed below, star Tom Holland says that the upcoming film has some of the best action we've seen in any of the Spider-Man movies so far. We see a montage of clips, including exploding cars, Spidey being thrown backwards into a truck, and riding on top of what appears to be an army tank. We also see hundreds of fans surrounding the set to watch the stunt being filmed, which Director Destin Daniel Cretton says meant a lot to him and everyone involved in the film.

Curiously, we see snow for a few seconds when Spidey is thrown backwards into that big ol' truck... though we don't see snow anywhere else during the featurette... It feels as though every behind-the-scenes clip or pic has been meant to throw us off in some way, what with fans (and myself) desperate to match the yellow jacket Sadie Sink was seen wearing on set to virtually any single part of the trailer (as we still don't know what character she's playing).

The film marks the fourth installment in the Holland-led films, and sees Peter Parker get mixed up with none other than Frank Castle (and, judging by the events of the Punisher: One Last Kill, I'm not sure how all that's going to go).

Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits theaters on July 31. While we wait, check out our guide to all the upcoming Marvel movies or our breakdown on how to watch the Spider-Man movies in order.
