GTA 6 pre-orders could well be dropping in the next few hours, after the internet rumor mill was set ablaze last week. Several creators shared an email from Best Buy suggesting the go-time was May 18th and that means big news could be coming our way today.
That means we may well have our copies locked in, and finally find out just how much Rockstar's next blockbuster is going to cost. While analysts have been flip-flopping between the standard $69.99 and the eyebrow-raising $110 (or even $110), those final digits will only be cemented when GTA 6 pre-orders land.
Rockstar hasn't confirmed its retailer availability just yet, and hasn't commented on rates either. Several retailers have posted obscure listing pages in the last few days, with the first running the show at €99 (around $115) but it's likely these are simply placeholders ahead of today's action.
We're following all the day's GTA 6 pre-order updates live as soon as they happen.

When will GTA 6 pre-orders land?
It's impossible to say at the moment, but there's a reason the internet is hyped for GTA 6 pre-orders today. On May 14, several outlets reported receiving an email from Best Buy that promoted a pre-order campaign starting from May 18. These were verified across the board, with many sharing their own emails and invitations to join various creator affiliate programs for the first couple days of action.
The first whistle was blown by streamer Frogboyx1Gaming, who showed the email live when it came in on the evening of May 13.
Today's timing would make an extra grain of sense with Take-Two's next earning call set to run on May 21, delayed slightly - potentially to accommodate an additional announcement.
Good morning!
Welcome to today's live coverage of all things GTA 6 pre-orders. With plenty of reputable rumors pointing to today, May 18, as the go-time for early console orders we're keeping an incredibly close eye on anything that smells remotely like a product listing, leak, or stuttering retailer site. If a PS5 case hits a shelf, we'll know about it and we'll tell you.
Placeholders appearing at retailers
Danish site Gameshop Twente was the first retailer to be spotted posting GTA 6 pre-order placeholder pages last week, with a €99 price point that would translate to around $115. First spotted on ResetEra forums, though, many are speculating that this isn't the final GTA 6 price. At this point, we can only hope.
Xbox sightings have taken me to a New Zealand landing page

It's likely we're going to see a bunch of misinformation today, so everything I share (unless actively verified) should be taken with a pinch of salt. I'm working to bring you everything I see as I spend my day hunting down pre-order rumors, though, so here's what I've got from last night.
Six hours ago, a screenshot of Xbox's latest update was added to the r/GTA6 subreddit, apparently showing an update that brought GTA 6 pre-orders into focus. Unlike other fakes, though, other users reported seeing similar results on Google when conducting their own searches in the replies.
In my own searches I am seeing the same Google result, with my search taking me to a landing page for New Zealand (notable as one of the first countries to hit certain times).
