If you want to stay healthy and improve your metabolism, you should clean your body from toxins. Toxins are substances that are poisonous to humans and can damage your body. Toxins may enter our body through the food we consume, the water we drink, the air we breathe or the clothes we wear.
Toxin removal only comes through flushing your body’s system. Detoxification is a normal process of removing toxins from the body. The removal of toxins is a naturally-occurring process in the body, that is, the substances that can cause damage to the tissues are expelled through the stool and urine.
However, there are times when there is excessive amount of harmful substances in the body and the organism is unable to remove all of it on its own.
There are different ways of detoxification. A lot of detoxification methods are offered at spa and wellness centers. Nevertheless, if you don’t want to spend a fortune, but still successfully cleanse your body, you can always try out detox pads.
Here is how to prepare it on your own:
Ingredients:
- Water
- One middle-sized onion
- One garlic bulb
- Old socks
- Adhesive gauze
Preparation:
Peel the onion and garlic and slice them on small pieces, then put them in a pot with boiling water. Leave them to boil for 10 minutes. Afterwards, remove the water with onion and garlic from heat and let it cool off for about 20 minutes.
Then, pour the mixture in the center of the self-stick gauze pads just enough to become wet. If you pour to much liquid on the pads, squeeze it out. Be careful and do not wet the sticky part of the pads.
Now, you will need to patch this gauze pad on the soles of your feed at the center part. Put on socks so the pad won’t fall off. Do this before going to bed. In the morning, remove the gauze and wash the feet.
